In summer of 2003, an HMC student Timothy Carnes majoring in Computer Science
was supported by the QLS fund to do research with me in the general area of
bioinformatics in collaboration with the Machine Learning System (MLS) group 
of Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He worked in two subprojects: (a) He helped 
me with accessing some microarray DNA expression data publically available
on the internet, and (b) he also worked under the direct supervision of
Victoria Gor in MLS group of JPL to cellular modeling of development of
plants.
