Transportation |
You can travel to UCLA by airplane or by
car:
By plane: The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is closest and most convenient to UCLA. Other options include Bob Hope (BUR) and Long Beach (LGB). Less convenient but possible include John Wayne (SNA), Oxnard (OXR) and Ontario (ONT).
Transportation to UCLA from LAX includes rental car, shuttle and public transportation.
- Rental cars: A plethora of options are available. Use your favorite booking method.
- Shuttle: SuperShuttle provides shared rides to UCLA for reasonable rates. Reservations can be made in advance.
- Public Transportation: The LA County Metropolitan Transportation Authority created metro.net which provides a detailed trip planner. This trip requires one transfer and costs $6.25.
By car: In addition to the standard sites for directions and maps, SigAlert provides detailed real-time traffic information for the greater Los Angeles area. SigAlert tends to be (much) more accurate and provides greater information than, for instance, google and yahoo traffic maps of Los Angeles.
Parking: Parking in or near UCLA can be challenging. See this site for detailed instructions.

its origin to the Utah - UCLA Algebraic Geometry
Seminar started in 1989 by H. Clemens, D. Gieseker, M.

institutions.
WAGS meets twice per year and congregates an
