While investigating some completely different issues with a thesis, I discovered that the package-loading order was causing tables using the booktabs commands (\toprule, \midrule, \bottomrule, and \cmidrule) to not draw horizontal rules. I've fixed that problem and done a new release (3.1).

The latest version is available on the math cluster in /shared/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/hmcthesis and will be used if you recompile your thesis unless you have a masking copy in your local directory or in your own TEXMF tree.

You can also download the current version of the class from http://www.math.hmc.edu/computing/support/tex/classes/hmcthesis/ if you're working on your thesis with your own TeX system.

For current thesis students: We will be printing theses from the versions of your code that I archive, which will be building against the latest version of the class, so don't worry about submitting a new PDF.
