System Administrator
The department's system staff is headed by the system
administrator. The system administrator is responsible for the
day-to-day operation of our computing systems, as well as being an
active participant in planning for the department and the
college.
The current system administrator is Claire Connelly. Claire comes to us with years of industry experience. She is an active participant in the free- and open-source–software movement and is a Debian developer.
Hours & Contact Methods
Hours vary, but are generally around 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
The best way to get help is to send e-mail to Claire at cmc AT
math.hmc.edu. For urgent requests, you can try
calling her at 18754 (on-campus). For emergencies (fires, floods,
earthquakes, printers spewing paper), she can be reached by mobile
'phone or at home; the department's and Clinic's administrative
aides can make those calls for you.
Office
The system administrator's office is located in the basement of the Olin Science Building, in B159.
