cmtty.sty

The cmtty package specifies Computer Modern Typewriter as the “typewriter style” font. It is useful when using font packages that set the default monospace font to use Courier.

Computer Modern Typewriter (AKA CMTT) is a very readable monospace typeface that's good for setting code, program names, and other, similar, material. It is more compact than Courier, and thus allows you to have more material on a line than you would otherwise be able to have.

Using the Package

Simply add the line

\usepackage{cmtty}

to the preamble of your document.

Note: cmtty.sty is used by the department's HMC Clinic Report Class and thesis classes, so if you plan on using these classes to work on such documents on your own TeX system, you will also need this package.
