Brainstorming:

• Give everyone salt and cardboard shapes
• Pour salt on shapes makes FUN 3D shapes
• Break students into groups of 3
• Figure out a rule for what you think the 3D shape would be based on 2D shape
• Bring class back together to share ideas on rules
• Go back into groups, mess around with different combinations
• Maybe look at height differences in cardboard
• Different powders (sand, suger, other suggestive powdery materials, etc.)
• Maximum angle
• Experimentation techniques
• Science is fun!!!!
