The John Denver Collection
Not too long ago, the four albums released by John Denver on his Windstar label
went out of print. Now Laserlight Digital has made this music available to the
public once again with the release of the 5-CD boxed set The John Denver
Collection. This set contains all tracks from the albums Higher Ground,
Earthsongs, The Flower That Shattered the Stone and Different
Directions, as well as "The Marvelous Toy" from Christmas Like a
Lullabye. It also includes new studio versions of "Annie's Song" and "Take
Me Home, Country Roads", live recordings of "Potter's Wheel", "Grandma's Feather
Bed" and "I Want To Live" from the Montana Christmas Skies tv special,
and a beautiful new foreign language song "In A Far Away Land". Whether you're
an old fan who'd like to hear what JD's been up to for the last 10 years or a
collector like myself, this set is a great deal.
