Grading

There will be homework (20%), a midterm exam (20%), and a final exam (40%). The last 20% of your grade will be based on your class participation and the maximum of your exam scores.

Also, note that the grading scale used in this course will be roughly the following: A 90%-100%, A- 85%-89%, B+ 80%-84%, B 70%-80%, B- 65%-69%, and so on. Details about the grading scale will be explained in class.

Homework

You are encouraged to discuss the homework with other members of the class, and it is appropriate to acknowledge the assistance of others. You will, however, be expected to write up your solutions on your own. I will reserve the right to refuse to accept late homework.

Disabilities

Students who need disability-related accommodations are encouraged to discuss this with me as soon as possible.
