BEGINNINGS with the Mitchell Trio
This album was released by Mercury Records in 1974 in an effort to capitalize on the success of John Denver. The album collects most of the songs from Denver's three Mitchell Trio albums on which he sang (at least partial) lead vocals (the two exceptions are, I believe, "Leaving, On a Jet Plane" and "He Was a Friend of Mine" from ALIVE!). It contains no new material, but is an easier and cheaper solution for Denver fans than hunting down the original albums.

Thanks to Greg Schnitzer for providing the picture of the second cover.
