Please consult the HMC mathematics homework format guidelines for helpful tips on homework submission and formatting.

Each Math 60 class (aside from the first and last) will begin with a 15 minute quiz. During the last class, there will be a cumulative final exam.

Exams

In addition to the daily quizes, there will be one cumulative final exam. This will take place 2-4pm, Friday, June 1, 2018.

A+B+C+D=100

where A = HW = 30, B = Quizzes = 30, C = Exam = 30 and D = Max (A,B,C) = 10.
(The lowest HW score will be dropped.)

Tutors will be available every day 7-9 pm in Platt.

Attendance and Reading

Class attendance is mandatory as is reading of pertinent textbook sections. They are meant to supplement each other and are needed for proper completion of homework and exams.

Students with disabilities

It is the policy of The Claremont Colleges to accommodate students with temporary or permanent disabilities. Any student with a documented disability who requires reasonable accommodations should contact Deborah Kahn, Coordinator for Student Disability Resources at (909) 607-3148 or dkahn@hmc.edu, as soon as possible. Students from the other Claremont Colleges should contact their home college's disability officer. Counterparts at the other campuses are as follows: CMC: Julia Easley (julia.easley@cmc.edu) CGU: Chris Bass (chris.bass@cgu.edu) HMC: Deborah Kahn (dkahn@hmc.edu) Pitzer: Gabriella Tempestoso (gabriella_tempestoso@pitzer.edu) Pomona: Jan Collins-Eaglin (jan.collins-eaglin@pomona.edu) Scripps: Leslie Schnyder (lschnyde@scrippscollege.edu)

Honor Code

Though cooperation on homework assignments is encouraged, students are expected to write up their own solutions individually. That is, no copying. Comprehension is the goal, so even with cooperation, you should understand solutions well enough to write them up yourself. It is appropriate to acknowledge the assistance of others; if you work with others on a homework question, please write their names in the margin. Tests are to be done individually. You are encouraged to discuss your paper with other students. The HMC Honor Code applies in all matters of conduct concerning this course.
